TRAIN YOUR BRAIN
Philippians 4:8-9
“Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable. Practice what you’ve learned and received from me, what you heard and saw me do. Then the God who gives this peace will be with you.”
Thoughts are like wild horses; untrained and unbridled, they run where they will. Put your saddle on the right one and it carry you to victory. Saddle the wrong one and it will run headlong into disaster.
All day long you have an inner dialog in your head. This is good. You imagine where your choices may lead you. And it helps lead you the right direction.
You can train your thinking by what you put into your mind. As Paul writes, things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable, these are the things that we need to add to your mental diet. Feed it on the book of Proverbs and of Psalms. Get a Bible with Christ’s words in red and study them.
Saddle up.
