MUSINGS – September 18 2028

Mark 1:35-39
“In the morning, long before sunrise, Jesus went to a place where he could be alone to pray. Simon and his friends searched for him. When they found him, they told him, “Everyone is looking for you.” Jesus said to them, “Let’s go somewhere else, to the small towns that are nearby. I have to spread the Good News in them also. This is why I have come.” So he went to spread the Good News in the synagogues all over Galilee, and he forced demons out of people.”

“Long before sunrise, Jesus went alone to pray” I’m one of those morning people. I generally wake around five. This is my time to pray and think and plan before the distractions of the day begin. It is generally when I write these Musings. Sometimes I select the scripture passage the night before, read it and then wait until morning to re-read. That gives me unconscious mind to work on it while I sleep. Or let the Spirit guide my spirit. Besides, if it is good enough for Jesus to rise early to pray, it’s good enough for me.
