I Will Give Thanks to Your Name

Psalms 138:1-2 1. I will give thanks to you with all my heart. I will make music to praise you in front of the false gods. 2. I will bow toward your holy temple. I will give thanks to your name because of your mercy and truth. You have made your name and your promise greater than everything.

David could and did make music to praise God. I don’t have the gift of creating rhyme, rhythm, and melody. But I can sing His praises thanks to the talents of those who can craft musical poems from the holy scriptures.

Lord, accept our heartfelt praise whether raised in song, spoken word, or groaning to deep for words. Because your name and your promise is greater than all else.
